Troop 399’s Venture Crew will be traveling to the YMCA of the Rockies, Snow Mountain Ranch, in Colorado from December 28 through January 3. There will be lots of fun winter activities, including skiing at nearby Winter Park. This trip is intended to be a family trip and we would like to invite other families to join us for some winter fun, including celebrating the New Year. There are 3 rooms currently available for families. Reservations must be made by October 27th to hold the rooms. Scouts must be at least 14 years old to attend and must attend with at least one family member or adult. All family members, regardless of age, are encouraged to come with us.
Average cost per family will be between $1100 to $1400 for lodging (depending on how many people stay in one room), two meals per day, and all YMCA activities. Extra charges include ski equipment rental, lift fees, cost for the noon meal each day, transportation, and spending money. We are planning on renting 15 passenger vans to substantially reduce transportation costs; however, you can fly into Denver and arrange for shuttle transportation to the YMCA if you prefer.
